Here NOW so Long
Live video effects for dance, run in real time across four cameras and twelve scenes
Four cameras, twelve scenes
I programmed and ran live video effects for White Wave Dance Company's piece Here NOW so Long at New York Live Arts. We had four camera feeds: a front camera mounted on the booth, a side camera in the wing, an overhead camera mounted to the grid, and a camcorder hand-operated by the dancers throughout the piece.
There were twelve scenes, each with different video effects, ranging from motion detection and feedback effects to freeze-framed mosaics and digital backgrounds.
